Lavinia House - Book direct for best prices

Very clean and tidy. Well placed for the front and town, usual parking street parking hiccup of B & Bs in Whitby, but our host help us find a space, so not an issue to fret about at all. Happy to and will return next year.

Just spent a very pleasant couple of days at Lavinia House. My room was spotlessly clean and impressive. I upgraded my room to a larger bed and found the mattress to be really comfortable and the pillows which are always a letdown in these establishments were top notch. Even better than I have at home. Definitely one of the better guest houses I’ve staved in over the years. If meals were offered then this place would be absolutely perfect but there are plenty of eating places nearby.

Greeted by host Mark after excellent communication regarding check-in. This accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped and in an excellent location. I can honestly say that it’s the cleanest I have ever experienced. Not only the room but the hall and stairs. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful guest house situated in the most picturesque part of Whitby. Very clean room and a lovely touch having binoculars in the room to really appreciate the view had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again. Nicola and iain room 6

Lyndsey was very friendly and welcoming. She sorted out the visitor parking permit and helped me to find a parking space. While the description says parking is available, so technically correct, all parking is on street in marked zones which means there is no guarantee of being able to park at Lavinia House. The room was clean and had easy chairs in front of the small flat screen TV. The WiFi worked well. This is accommodation only and food is not permitted to be brought back to the premises (which is totally fine since there are a very large number of great places to dine within easy walking of the house.) A pleasant few days and very happy to recommend this place. I'm sure we'll be back at some point soon.
