The Corner Guest House

Lovely bed and breakfast, perfectly situated to explore the surrounding sights of whitby! The host was really nice and the breakfast was delicious with proper sausages. The room was super comfy and clean too. I would definitely stay again if spending the night in Whitby.

My partner went here earlier in the year. Due to shifts I wasn't able to go. My partner was impressed the first time. My first time was really impressive also. The host Simon was really welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. He also has a brilliant sense of humour. This make the experience so much more relaxing. Our room was clean and tidy as expected. Comfortable bed. The shower was a little bit on the small side for me. Still it was good for a short stay. The breakfast was on of the best I've eaten in a good while. Choice of cereal or fruit. Cooked breakfast as well was on offer. The amount wasn't restricted. Endless toast and beverages. Location was great. Seemed to be out of the way near the whale bones. But if you research well, you'll find with in 10 mins walk you can be by the harbour, shops, or town centre. We love Whitby. We've been going for a few years now. This is a must return for us now. This is my first vacation stay in Whitby and I was so lucky to find this real gem of a place. Simon, the owner takes time to get to know you and nothing isn’t too much trouble for him to do. Breakfast, what can I say, fabulous. Local produce and lots of it too, all cooked to perfection and it keeps you fuelled up for the whole day. The location is central and peaceful, with all the walks and attractions being close by. I stayed in room 5, top floor corner room with one window I can see the sea and the other out on to the street. The room was spotless, airy and bright. Thank you for making my short break so relaxing Simon, I can say I will be back again.

I'm so glad I chose the Corner Guest House in beautiful Whitby. Perfect location close enough to walk to the beach, River and Center but removed enough to be quiet. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. Everything you need with very comfortable bed. The innkeeper Simon is wonderful. He goes out of his way to make you feel at home including cooking and serving a delicious breakfast. I did a road trip from South to North UK and stayed in five different places. This was my favorite.

Simon takes a lot of care to get to know you, and settle you in. If you can find a residents' parking spot he'll sell you a scratch card which is £2.50 per day and is usable on the front above Whitby beach as well. Light airy room with a sea view (just). Fabulous breakfasts and Simon is happy to recommend local restaurants and collect your experience of local restaurants for future reference. Hope to see you again soon!
