Just spent another 2 nights in a lovely spacious room overlooking the cricket pitch. Fantastic breakfast. Helpful staff. Great base to explore Whitby, Sandsend and Robin Hood Bay from. 15 minutes walk to bus and train station. Ideal for us 👍
Returned for our second stay in a sea view room. Cannot beat it. Great experience from check in to departure. Breakfast top notch too. See you for a 3rd time in 2026
We stayed at The Wheeldale over the bank holiday weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The room was spotless, super comfy, and offered absolutely stunning views — such a treat to wake up to! We were pleasantly surprised to find breakfast was included, and it was spot on every morning. The location is ideal, just a lovely walk into Whitby, which we did each time. All the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel really welcome. Thank you so much for having us — we’ll definitely be back!
Easy to get to, Lovely views and great location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious. Definitely consider staying here again on a trip to Whitby.
Just returned home from a fantastic weekend at the wheeldale, lovely room with Seaview everything we needed really quiet too, lovely breakfast on the Saturday and Sunday morning And all the staff were really polite and helpful, they even gave us a parking pass for our car, which gave us an extra 21/2 hours on Sunday, would highly recommend xx
