Nearby attractions include the 199 steps and Whitby Abbey, which are 16 minutes' walk from the hotel. North Moors National Park is only 24 minutes' drive from The Belfry Whitby.

Breakfast at The Belfry is served in the dining room between 8:00 to 9.30. We stayed in the Belfry, Whitby between the 7-9th November 2025. The atmosphere, staff, room and breakfast were amazing. The food was incredible and nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean and modern and had everything you could have wanted. Thankyou for such a lovely stay we can highly recommend.
Carefully refurbished old building, full of character in a good location with free parking on adjacent streets. Beautiful, spacious room with large windows, meticulously clean room and luxury bedding. Lovely breakfast with a good selection served by helpful, friendly staff. Would highly recommend The Belfry.
We stayed 2 nights at the Belfry and it was the perfect base for exploring the town, within close walking distance of the main attractions and the added benefit of free on-street car parking. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had a lovely sea view. Would love to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
My girlfriend (now fiancé) and I had a wonderful stay at The Belfry. Clean and hospitable rooms, very fancy walk-in shower, and a great view of the church across the street. Easy access to the main attractions of Whitby such as the Abbey, the Whale Bone Arch, and the pier in which I had the opportunity to propose in the early hours of the morning. Overall great place with great service. Phill and Sophie, we will be returning for our next visit to Whitby in the future! Best of luck to you guys!
A lovely B&B with friendly owners and a delicious breakfast. The rooms were spotless, quiet, and very comfortable. It’s also in a great location. We will be back!
