Visited the Marine Discovery Centre with friends and it was a fantastic experience! 🦞✨ It is a really well-presented and interactive space. We loved learning about the native marine wildlife and seeing the lobster hatchery in action, the baby lobsters are a must-see! It’s clear that the staff are very passionate about what they do, and the whole place has a great, educational atmosphere without being boring. It's a perfect spot to spend an hour or so if you're in Whitby. Highly recommend popping in to see what's happening under the waves! 🌊🐙

Fantastic place to visit. Because it was quiet we were given a personal guided tour by one of the staff members the young lady was very knowledgeable and happy to talk to us about the sea life projects being undertaken for example the Lobster 🦞 hatchery. Totally recommend a visit as this helps with the sea life projects 👍🏼

Our second visit since this newish attraction opened. Whole family visit (£17.70 which was good value). The hatchery is very small but brilliant. Lots of tanks of different interesting marine life (circles on floor explain different fish etc). Tanks at low level for kids plus a couple of big steps for them to study the fish and lobsters. Utterly crucial we all support them as their work is making the lobsters landed in Whitby (100,000 a year!!) a sustainable industry. Blown away with expertise of guides and the info for all ages. We don’t often pay for us all to go in somewhere but this is amazing and impressive. They nail their mission to educate! We will be back.

What a fabulous place. Lovely displays and a really knowledgeable team make this an interesting and fun visit. Lovely to see the baby lobsters and other creatures, but Darren the dab stole the show! What a character! He delivers full value entertainment with his tricks and personality. Frankly, we're still trying to get over his magnificence, and are eagerly awaiting 'Darren Merch' becoming available! We went to The Deep today, and all we could talk about was how much we missed him! We'll see you again, Darren!
