Went today for a craft fair. Nice large space. Fair was excellent. Good stalls. A nice building full of history.
A fantastic music venue. This is a small theatre that provides an intimate setting with great sound and a great view. The theatre is really easy to get into and the staff are all friendly. Although the seats are not really built for anyone over six foot tall.
Good dancefloor main hall for Motown weekender. Main act on Friday Johnny Soul Boy VG. Sat poor artist and not as billed by Goldsoul. Not keen on flimsy plastic beakers, need to add another to stabilise. Also had to tell people no drinks on the dancefloor! Eventually, security stepped in to advise them....
We only went for a cup of tea here. They were very warm and welcoming to us. The place is very large and impressive. Very clean and tidy.
We came to see Jon Bowen and Eliza Carthy, great show and tremendous seating. I'm 6'3" and there was loads of leg room. Lovely bar with great staff, coffee and cakes, excellent views over the sea from the café/bar area, at least, there would be when it was light. I would travel to see a show there again, we came from north Derbyshire.
