Nice bracing walk along the peir to the lighthouse. Great view looking back towards Whitby from the end of peir. Keep an eye out for the harbour seals who sometimes pop up to show you their presence. Had lovely time there to catch sunrise and sunset colours there. Best spot for getting good photos.
Not a bad pier by any means, but the one on the other side is just better. I liked the views there more there. Felt a bit more windy for some reason on this very pier, BUT then might have been just me.
170 years lighthouse. Very impressive sight and walk to it.
A nice piece of architecture, one of two lighthouses that looks out onto the ocean. This is a nice spot to appreciate the ocean and experience the fresh sea breeze.
Lovely view point and today it was beautiful and warm and the sea was so calm, you could see for miles, it was through the week in June and we arrived very early to avoid the crowds so it was lovely and quiet, there were a lot of boats about which was enjoyable to watch and the birds are funny to see, the beach looked beautiful the sea so blue, it sad that we can not walk on the beach this time of year because we have our little dog he loves the sand, but responsibility and rules must be followed. The weather did get to 27c so we had to leave by 12pm dogs and heat not good. Be kind in summer did notice people dragging dogs around with no water.
