We just bought our Motorhome, and wanted to go somewhere within an hour just to get a feel of things. We found this site and booked 2 nights. It was easy to find, but up quite a steep hill ( not silly steep, busses go up it). The site is on that hill, but the site is on flat levels. We were greeted, and pointed to pitches we could park. It was our choice. We were given directions to the toilets and there was hoses to fill up in convenient places around the site. The toilets / showers were clean, though my shower went from hot to cold , then warm. But I managed. We would definitely visit this site again, but we need levelling ramps as we were on a slight slope, which was a little problematic at times. One thing to mention, the Abbey isn’t too far away, again up hill. At the top is a big yellow bus. It does a hop on /off service with a great tour of Whitby. We used it to get to the bottom, and back up again.

Lovely small campsite within 10 mins of Whitby town centre. Note it is on a steep hill and the pitches are at different levels. Also to to gain access to site from Whitby is approximately 200 yards of a steep up wards hill. I am nearing 70 and had no problem with going up the hill.

Saw this site as we where passing and dropped in, managed to book in for the Friday night and what a fine this gem is. Flat pitches, nice clean toilets and showers and only 5 mins from the harbour. £35 with electric and water. We will definitely be back.

Great, friendly campsite. Owner helped greatly as we went on site last minute. Facilities clean, tidy, and well looked after. Location is 4 stars just because of steep hill to walk up from whitby centre. But it is a lot closer than other campsites, so it's worth the uphill walk.
