Place has gone really downhill. A few years ago it was the to-go place for any baked goods or mithai but nowadays it feels as tho they are using cheaper ingredients, the baked goods feel stale when freshly bought and the cakes have a slightly spoilt smell. Really horrible considering their reputation a few years ago.
There was a item on shelf for £1.50 and the man at the desk try charging me £2… get off your phone when customer walks in
Decent variety of products to choose from. used to be at affordable prices but now weekly yaadgaar into every 2-3 wk shopping. Increased prices, maybe started using different cheaper ingredients but still need to keep tasting to see if it's as good from before.
The place has gone downhill seeiously. Brought mithai and is was disgracful.. Tasted nasty as its been on display for 5 days plus. Couldnt eat it as it was rock hard. Threw it away...shopkeeper said it was fresh, well he basically lied and sold us old mithai. Avoid at all cost.. Nasty rotten disgracful and especially in ramadan he lied.
I have tried mithai from other stores but none of them match up to yaadgar, this shop lives up to its‘ name! Yaadgar barfi is soft, creamy and I love gulab jamun and their other mithai too. I also buy birthday cakes from here, delicious. Also love their coconut cake slices , they taste yummy, especially with tea.
