Small but decent site for families, clean and well kept. Stayed in our tourer. Site generally clean and well kept, plus quiet at night. Staff friendly. Shower block warm and clean. Just a few negatives - difficulty finding pitch since most pitch markers have gone so just picked a place in the field as a best guess. Strangely there's no grey waste emptying area for caravans so used a drain in the road. Toilet elsan emptying point is right next to the pot washing area (like, RIGHT next to it), which isn't particularity hygienic. Also no hot water at pot wash, meaning its of no use. Nice park and kids very much enjoyed it.
We had a lovely stay at the Withernsea site over the weekend. We set off straight from work on Friday and arrived around 8pm. The staff couldn't be more helpful. It was our first time towing and we managed to get stuck on the one way street next to the laundrette. The security guy with a flat top reversed it out for us and kept us calm and reassured. We then managed to lose our caravan key whilst he was getting our caravan out for us. I called them to explain we couldn't find the key, so they went back with a torch and found the keys on the grass for us. Absolute legends! We were feeling very stressed after a long journey, but the supportive staff really turned it around for us. We then managed to get settled and have a really nice 2 night stay. The venue was clean, the staff were amazing and we enjoyed the facilities. We'll definitely be using Parkdean Resorts again in the future. Thanks for an enjoyable stay 😊
A lovely caravan park, which was clean and orderly. The caravan was virtually new and spotlessly clean and comfortable. I had few interactions with the teams but they were always courteous and helpful. Food is very good and comparable with good pub grub both in quality and pricing. In Withernsea which is about 5 minutes walk away is a very regular bus service into Hull. I’m very happy to recommend this park and likely to return there again.
Check-in was quick and easy, and the caravan was clean on arrival which gave us a good first impression. The park itself looked tidy and well-kept, and most of the staff were friendly – even when one member accidentally spilled all our drinks over the table, they were polite and apologetic. Sadly, the positives stopped there. When we stripped the beds to add waterproof mattress protectors, we found disgusting pee stains on the mattresses, which was extremely off-putting and not what you’d expect when paying for a holiday. On top of that, food service was very slow – on our first night we waited over an hour for our meals, which was frustrating, especially with hungry toddlers! Entertainment was also very poor. Bingo every single night quickly became repetitive and boring, and it really feels like the entertainment schedule needs a complete overhaul to keep families engaged. The layout of the park is also questionable – you’re forced to walk through the arcade to get to the main show bar for food and drinks, which feels less like convenience and more like a sales tactic to encourage spending. The location didn’t help either. The town itself was completely dead despite it being August, which killed the “holiday” vibe we were hoping for. We even ended up travelling nearly two hours by car to Scarborough just to get that proper seaside feel. Yes, Hull is closer, but it doesn’t give the same holiday atmosphere. Overall, while the park is clean on the surface and the staff were generally friendly, the dirty mattresses, painfully slow food service, tired entertainment, money-driven layout, and lack of local atmosphere left us disappointed. If you’re someone who wants a very quiet break and don’t mind a dead town, then this place might suit you but if you’re looking for more of a holiday vibe, variety, and things to do, I’d definitely avoid.”
Parkdean had severely messed us around and extracted far more money than was originally quoted, we were supposed to be at Cayton Bay but due to them removing our pet booking we couldn't go and had to go to Withernsea paying well over £100 more for a van that cost less initially. The site is typical of deprived areas of coastal Yorkshire. There is an enternamet complex but the pool is shut Mondays and Fridays.... Staff onsite friendly and the cleaners who did our van were good. The van itself was a 2021 model but was damaged with the carpet being torn up and poorly repaired and the fridge door having the racking torn off/missing. The hot water was poor due to being turned right down. Overall it was a cheap break but the lack of things to do and the tired state of the site left little to be desired.
