stayed here for 5 nights in one of their lodges room 1 nice spacious room 2 double beds n a nice bathroom just needs some little upgrades -coat hook on back of door hangin off -air vent in bathroom makes a clicking noise all day and night - mattresses not very comfortable -radiator makes no sense couldn't figure out how to turn it on and off was forever roasting and no matter what we did couldn't find the right setting to turn it off- toilet leaves bad sewer smell if its not been flushed in a while e.g if uve been out you come back n it stinks so could do with toilet freshners inside the toilets -not a single person came to change towels for us offer more tea, coffee, sugar etc could upgrade to having a toaster in the room and a small miniature fridge -fire alarm went off twice and was not warned of a tester fire drill so didnt know if it was a real fire or a tester leading from the side to the lodges no lights so very dark and a bit scary at night time if walking down to side to get to your lodge was always having to go eat breakfast out in cafes costing a fortune and kept having to leave milk etc in the sink filled with cold water resulting in milk going sour over night but all round friendly staff n very nice lodges but these little changes would make it amazing
Room was lovely, the staff. very friend and happy to let us check in early.Down side they do not do food anymore, and need to upgrade there web site.We will be back again. We went to the car park and just payed Β£3.50 and left our car over night in there
I chose the Alexander because of its proximity to Spurn Point & that was a good choice. The rooms are self contained chalets, located within what would have been the Alexander (pub) car park. The chalets offer good facilities, they are well laid out, comfortable and clean. The only points to note are that the room heating never came on (my towel never dried out) & it did turn cold at night. There is no onsite in I parking, but we did use the adjacent fish & chip shop parking @ Β£10 per night. The location does not provide any food services, as the pictures show, this I found misleading. To summarise, well located, good rooms, a fair price but go out to dine.
Excellent fresh cooked food. Called in to the Alexandra Hotel for a Sunday carvery whilst on holiday in the area and I have to say it must be one of the best Sunday roasts I have ever tasted. I was that impressed we visited again for an evening meal during our stay which was also impressive. The hotel looks like it's in need of some TLC on the outside but very modern and clean on the inside so don't judge a book by its cover.
Visited with my two daughters and grandchildren for late Sunday Carvery. Nicely refurbished inside. First class service from friendly welcoming staff. Excellent meat and vegetable choices with accompiants. Very decadent puddings. Could not fault for price.
