The beach stretches for a mile or so. The beach is stoney in areas but does go to lots of sand. There is only an issue that being the high tide stays for most of the day, and low tide is in the evening, so don't get much time to spend the whole day on the beach. There are plenty of cafes and places to sit and eat.

Spent a few hours here en route home. Enjoyed a stroll then had teas and bacon butties, service speedy and staff very nice and friendly to everyone. Worth dropping in if you’re visiting the area. There were a lot of people about and on the beach enjoying the sunny weather. Sand and pebble mix beaches with good access. Seafront small garden/seating areas with picnic tables for use. Public toilets are available further on the seafront and a couple of small gift shops. Keep walking past the bowling green and right next to that is this charming little cafe serving food and drinks. There are a few small the usual seaside fayre, Reasonably priced cold drinks and iced, donuts and more. The East Riding Leisure Centre is just next to car park with modern gym facilities, indoor heated swimming pool and a really nice spacious indoor/outdoor cafe serving meals. Great for those not so warm and dry days.

We are staying in Withernsea at the moment. We went to the seafront today, sat on the beach with a coffee. It was glorious. Sun was splitting the heavens. It was lovely and warm. We then went back to the caravan and had fish and chips with our in-laws. Perfect. The beach is clean. People were swimming in the water. You can't do that down south, you'd be drowned in effluent. All good, clean and inviting.

Stopped at withernsea for the arcades on the way back from a day out. The parking was free, the ice cream was lovely and then a quick visit to the arcades to spend £1 to get a 5p lolly from the coin pusher 😂 as you do.
