Nice cozy country inn feel. Reasonably warm with a bar counter upstairs and downstairs. Rusty ethnic look. Food was nothing special to talk about and has a couple if decent drinks although no where as many as a traditional busy pub beer parlour. Would consider dropping in again if in the area just for the peace and quiet
Great pub. We called for Sunday lunch. We both had beef. Plenty of veggies. Plenty of meat. No complaints. Really nice food. I had lemon drizzle pudding. My husband had treacle. Both were tasty. Great food. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Would recommend a visit. Β£15 for Sunday lunch and dessert.
Unexpected lamb choice for roast dinner was delicious, roast tatties and gravy cooked in meat juices (we thought) again delicious had some pigs in blankets added also delicious (not cheap sausage) all vegetables cooked and presented perfectly special mention on cauliflower cheese too full for pudding
Quality of food was great, they didn't have any menus to look at but the waitress told us what was available. We had to remind them about drinks we had ordered but over all a good experience and would go again
Stunning place with fantastic food, drinks and service in a warm and quirky atmosphere, a real hidden gem. Myself and my husband came in last week and had a couple of drinks. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. We returned Sunday for lunch and it was amazing. We will definitely return on many occasions. All staff were very friendly and it's lovely and clean with a real log fire. Dogs are also welcome.
