Service seems like it was done correctly - it was done quickly, only issue is that the engine cover was not put back on probably after service. I drove away and for 7mil home I thought something was severely wrong with my car because of the noise coming from the engine. Only to get home and open to hood and to see that the technician obviously did not fit the engine cover back on correctly. Obviously small things like this make a person wonder if the major service was done properly.

This was our first time using Halfords for an MOT, and we’ll definitely be using Halfords Autocentre Barnsley for all our future MOTs, services, and repairs. We dropped the car off and popped to the nearby Costa for a coffee, and just 45 minutes later we received a call to say the MOT was complete and the car was ready to collect. The staff were incredibly friendly, and it’s clear they have a well-organised, efficient system in place to deliver such a quick and hassle-free service. The only minor downside is that parking is a little limited, but that’s more a site issue than the fault of the team, and the excellent service easily made up for the short wait for a space.

I booked my MOT with Halfords as my usual garage didn't have availability. Booking system was straightforward and communication in the run up was good. Staff were friendly and helpful and the work needed to get it through MOT was completed quickly the same day. Would recommend.

The booking system is good and was easy to use. Reminder texts are helpful and staff were friendly and informative. The price of services let it down for me. The cost was very high compared with local garages and therefore I wouldn’t choose Halfords again as a first choice.
