Fantastic place. We bought a beautiful Crested Gecko and were greeted in the reptile room by a tortoise doing laps and getting its daily steps in haha. The selection of tropical and saltwater fish is brilliant, including a stunning puffer setup in its own tank that you can’t miss when you walk into the tropical fish room. The staff are fantastic and genuinely knowledgeable about all the animals they keep. Every enclosure was clean, well-maintained and clearly cared for. They had everything we needed to get our Crestie home and fully set up in the new viv, which we also got from here. We’ve already recommended Derne Valley Pet Centre to a friend and they ended up coming away with a gorgeous pied chameleon. Says it all really. Definitely coming back. Thank you for the service and the great experience.

I really admire the variety and selection of animals, reptiles, birds and fish on view at D.V Pet Centre. It's a lovely place to visit, and seems well stocked with everything you could want for your particular hobby. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and always ready for a chat, plus the fact they have a marine fish and coral section....makes it my new favourite place to go!

I have had 18 rats from Dearne Valley over the last 6ish years, and every single one has had a beautiful temperament and stayed in good health up until the end of their lives. It is clear that the owners and staff have exceptional standards for their animals wellbeing and care. There is a good selection of cages, toys and food for small furries all for a reasonable price. They always have a varied stock of reptiles, insects, birds and fish too!

We have been to many pet shops all over the country especially for Marine fish and this is by far our favourite and feel very lucky it’s on our doorstep! The selection of fish (marine and tropical), reptiles, birds etc is phenomenal that also goes for the staff. They are always more than happy to help and we always feel welcome. If you are local get down there and support a wonderful independent shop and if you are not local it is definitely worth the trip. They have a lovely dog shop too which our Shih Tzu Teddy loves to visit.

Brilliant shop been going here for 6+ years never had any problems all my reptiles, fish ect have been healthy. Any advice about care or how to tend to your animals needs are taken care of while there, they are great at sourcing any animals/products you want also if they don’t have them in stock whilst there. I’ll always take my business to Dave and Sarah great all around shop not one to be missed, great prices would recommend anyone to go beginner or more advanced keepers.
