We were holidaying in The Yorkshire Dales at a remote cottage. On the way there about 40 minutes from the cottage our car went into limp mode because a diesel injector had failed. Having limped the car to the cottage, we Googled local garages and saw a couple of recommendations for Woodhall Garage. I phoned them and spoke to Phil (the owner) and explained the problem. Phill said he would do his best to fix it. With the help of the RAC I got the car to their garage. I phoned them the next afternoon and was informed that the car had been repaired. They even came to the cottage (15 minutes away) to collect me and take me back to the garage so I could pick up my car. The cost of the repair was incredibly reasonable and their service, and helpful attitude was so welcome. They worked quickly so that we could have the car back to enjoy the rest of our holiday. We were so grateful I cannot recommend them highly enough. Without them our holiday could have been ruined.

Can't recommend this place enough. Managed to come off my motorbike in middle of no where and 100 miles from home with no gears. Managed to get it to these guys, who whipped me up a bracket so I could use my gear selector and foot peg. So I could ride home. Then realised I needed some bolts I had left with them. Called, they found them and posted them out. Great, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Next time I pass (when my bike works) I'll bring some biscuits!

No fuss, no bluster just a sense of competence and that the mechanics have years of experience to draw from, which takes out any drama. You can be sure they will be fair in their pricing and advice. I took our old car, which I thought might be terminally ill and left it with them to see if they could repair it. I did not bother to seek a price, as within reason the car was worth more to me alive than the potential cost. I then got a phone call to say the car was ready to be collected, which was a relief and a pleasant surprise. I got another pleasant surprise when I came to pay. A nice country garage with traditional values where honesty is at the core of the business. Though, they would not have been in business so long as they have, if this wasn't the case. Try to support such garages, as life in rural areas is much more difficult when such places have gone!

Excellent service! Saved us when our car’s under tray came loose, and had it fixed promptly with only a small charge. Made it a priority as they knew we had a long journey ahead

Great garage, great service at a great price. I have taken all my cars here for a number of years. The staff are so friendly and helpful. This is one of the best garages in the dales. If you need any car work doing, then give them a call. I had a friend visit and they even sorted a car issue out on a Saturday morning even though their staff is limited. Always going the extra mile with friendly service and advice.
