we used to here all the time and never had a complaint about it until now. we had salt and pepper chicken the flavour was barley there and the chicken was dry, shared an egg fried rice which seemed to be the only edible thing, and the curry was absolutely inedible, made the mistake of pouring it all over my food, i couldn’t put it in my mouth without immediately spitting it back out again it had the texture of cement and the taste was vile you could tell they didn’t mix in the curry powder right and that it was made without a care in the world for the price too it was shocking never ordering from here again and i suggest you save your money and do the same!
Very disappointed with the poor level of service and the food we bought was just a large box of chips!!! rather than a large munchy box for £22 . I've been a loyal customer for more than 4 years patronising this restaurant .It is just a shame that I won't be buying any food from here again after my ordeal . Where is the customer loyalty and satisfaction It's just sad that I have been left with such a money grabbing technique without getting what we paid for !!!
First time trying here last night, and it was absolutely delicious. The test of any Chinese food is the rice, and the noodles, so I got two of their meal deals where you can pick any main, and have it with either rice or noodles. First up was Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls with Egg Fried Rice, and then Chicken in Black Bean Sauce on Noodles. Both were fantastic. The rice and noodles were nicely seasoned and very well cooked, so an excellent base for all dishes to go with. The chicken balls were crispy and tasty, the chicken in black bean sauce was superbly cooked to be tender and having the flavour well infused into it. The price for the portion size was very good too. Jewel City is an excellent place to get food from, and it'll now be my go to Chinese takeaway. 👍🥳
New favourite Chinese takeaway!!! Delivered to us within 20 minutes of ordering, delivery driver was really nice and came piping hot. Absolutely delicious food and good value for money, we will be coming here again!
Food was bland, chicken over cooked and dry, the ribs were nice, ordered a salt and pepper box but was lacking salt and didn't see a pepper. It's alright if your drunk otherwise don't bother
