Having visited Karobar at their pub kitchens in The Three Swords Horsforth, and The York in Broomhill, I was happy to hear they’d found a home for their first independent restaurant right here in Sheffield, only 20 mins away from me in Waverley. Known for their vibrant Indian street food plates, they offer a slightly different experience to a British curry house, that you don’t want to miss. Their menu includes fusions and unique tastes that touch upon Mexican and British cuisines, but keeps authentic Indian classics close to the heart of it. We enjoyed; Spinach, onion & French bean bhaji- delicious & crispy Lamb Belly Vindaloo Samosas – freshly made, crisp and filling is tasty (although wouldnt say its spicy). Sikandari Kid Goat Shoulder served in flaky layered parathas with tangy onions and a rich, curry sauce – this was something different. The meat was rich and liked pulled meat consistency. Very flavoursome and authentic. Prawn Moilee – lots of prawns, similar to a Thai curry. Tasty and creamy. ️We do enjoy the food from this brand, the flavour is always there, if anything we could use a little more spicy heat personally. Also, we struggled to finish 2 small plates and 2 mains so I think next time we will share 2-3 bar bites & small plates and 1 curry/biryani served altogether. The restaurant has a well-stocked bar and a large drinks menu too. We feel it’s a great addition to the area, and wish Karobar the best of luck! Spend: Approx £35-£40pp for a meal and drinks Open Hours: Tuesday to Sunday 10-10 Parking info: Nearby free street parking Takeaway/Delivery: unsure

Every one of our visits to Karobar on Olive Lane, Waverley has been excellent. The waiting staff have been attentive and the food great. Our last visit was to their new dining experience, The Subcontinent Social Supper Club, where we were served a curated menu of Nepalese inspired dishes. Highly recommend!

The staff at Karobar were extremely accommodating for our work Christmas meal. Food came fast and was fresh, hot and tasty. Delicious fish and prawns starter followed by paneer butter masala (perfect) with rice and bread that also complemented the meal. I was jealous of my colleagues' desserts! Our group had a wide range of dietary requirements which were all catered for in the original menu (lots of gluten free and meat free options) The service was faultless and our group really enjoyed the Christmas lunch. We're delighted to have such a lovely new restaurant on our doorstep. Wishing you all the success!

We visited last night as we live local. Got to say the whole atmosphere and food was amazing. Lots of different flavours and a varied menu. The samphire, onion & spinach bhajis were delicious as was the lamb belly vindaloo samosas that were like little Cornish pasties. Mains of railway lamb and lamb chop masala again full of fresh flavour and just the right amount of spiciness. We don't usually have desserts but couldn't resist trying what was on offer. The highlight for me was the beetroot halwa a flavour to savour. I'm so glad this is on our doorstep and no need to travel miles for a great curry experience.

From the moment we walked in, the ambience set the tone for a fantastic evening. The food was absolutely divine - each dish bursting with flavour, beautifully presented. Whether you are into bold spices or delicate flavours, the menu offers something for every plate. Their cocktails were equally impressive, creative, balanced and expertly mixed, they elevated the entire dining experience. Highly recommend for everyone. Can't wait to return. Thanks for your service.
