A lovely peaceful nature reserve for the first time. It offers free parking, easy and medium to walking and running trail options. The 1.8 meter and narrow bar at the entrance of the car park makes it accessible for small and medium vehicles only. Recommended.
Local nature reserve just outside Woodhouse Sheffield is a lovely little place constantly under improvement by volunteers and parks team. RUNNING, WALKING, WHEELCHAIRS,DOGS,KIDS all round nice place to be
The actual nature reserve is great and worth the walking. The car is now trashed by Sheffield city council as they reduced half the parking spaces, slapped down ridiculous speed bumps and ill-placed barriers.
Edit: I've added 2 stars to my original review below as they have completely resurfaced the car park to a very high standard, I still can't give a 5th star because often the car park is full so I can't get parked, annoying when they have only utilised half the clearly available space... ORIGINAL REVIEW: The nature reserve is a fantastic place, but the same cannot be said of the car park. To say it's rough is an understatement and is really badly surfaced, ok if you drive a 4x4 but for the average car it's a bumpy ride.
They made the car park a lot smaller than it used to be. I think as an attempt to dissuade the, errr… 'hobbyists'.
