Wressle Grange - Luxury Yorkshire Cottage accommodation for group and family holidays

We stayed at Wressle Grange Farmhouse as a family of 13, it was a fantastic, clean, well equipped house with everything we could possibly ever need for our three night stay. Claire came to greet us and showed us everything we needed to know, she provided a lovely welcome hamper with a treat for our dogs too. The bedrooms were all a good size, the bedding was immaculate and the bathrooms were very modern with towels provided. Hot water for everyone, great shower pressure and no issues with everyone showering one after the other. The beds were very comfortable and the house is in a very quiet location so no traffic noise to wake anyone up. The kitchen was very well stocked and the living area had enough (very comfortable) seating for all 13 of us, the log burner kept us all cosy and warm but the heating warmed the house adequately. The large garden was amazing and very well looked after, it also had the added bonus of a large fire pit outside and plenty of logs available. The pool table, games and hot tub made a great addition and lots of parking too. We walked to The Breighton Ferry pub/club during our stay, this took about an 45/50 minutes but was very flat and mostly off road, we were able to book a very cheap Uber back for those that preferred a lift. Great area for dog walking and a short drive into Howden where there's plenty of parking, a few pubs/cafes and a lovely gift shop and ice cream shop along with a large Co-op. Graham was on hand to support with the hot tub when we accidentally pressed the wrong setting and he maintained it through-out the stay for us. We had a fabulous time and we will certainly return, Claire and Graham were wonderful hosts and really have thought of everything.

What a wonderful place for our family of 13 to have a long weekend together. Could not fault the facilities, cleanliness and attention to detail! Everything we could possibly want/need. Enough space to spread out but also a large enough lounge and dining room for us all to sit together for dining and games. Garden was fantastic. Lots of space for kids/dogs to run some energy off. A fire pit to have a glass of something under the stars. Lovely countryside for a stroll or longer walk. Really enjoyable stay and hopefully one we can repeat!

The cottages are in such a beautiful setting, far enough away from everywhere to be peaceful but still accessible to get to York and plenty of things to do in the area. Perfect for our hen do stay, it worked out ideal having 3 kitchens/fridges/rooms and they're fully equipped with everything you could need! Claire could not do enough to help, there was so much useful information and recommendations for places to eat/visit, as well as being flexible with our check out time.

We stayed at Wressle Grange for a family reunion, travelling back to the UK from Australia with a diverse group ranging from toddlers to older relatives and Wressle Grange had something for everyone. We had a fabulous time, with so many thoughtful touches that made the trip extra special. There were books and toys for the little ones, including bikes and trikes, a cupboard full of games for rainy days, and a pool table for the older kids and adults. Our time together as a family was incredibly special. We explored York, discovered local food spots, and enjoyed everything the area had to offer. Claire was a terrific host, nothing was too much trouble. After a 24-hour journey, we needed good communication and a simple check-in process, and everything worked like a dream. Spending time with family is precious, and it was important to us that everyone had a fabulous time. Wressle Grange did not disappoint. Thank you for having us—we hope to be back soon! Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Rooms were all perfect for the 13 of us. Large kitchen and lovely garden area. Kids loved the hot tub and the fire pit. House is dog friendly which was perfect for us. Location is 5 minutes from the lovely market town of Howden. Only 30 minutes from York. The owners of the house were very friendly and helpful and always on hand to help with anything if we needed.
