You step off the bustling street in a sanctuary of blissful peace. The contrast is quite something! It was empty when we visited, sonmany just passing on by and missing this little gem. The church is lovely and still holds services. Donations can be made
Beautiful big church on the busy coppergate shopping street. A Grade 1 listed Church of England. The church is the guild and civic church for the city of York, and the regimental church for the Royal Dragoon Guards. It has an unusual tower with a lantern and in olden times that light could be seen for many miles and guided travellers to the safety of the city of York.
Pleasant city church with a peaceful atmosphere. Lots of history and some lovely stained glass windows.
IHS, Free to enter, come to pray, , , may god bless you.
An interesting architectural design that is a nice spot to stop at and appreciate when exploring the city. There are lots of sites like this throughout York and it is well worth wandering around and seeing what you can find.
