St Lawrence Church Community Hall

This is one of the most beautiful churches in York . We got married here .And it was great that it hosted the beer festival this year. Lovely sunny afternoon and lots of different beers, cider and wine to sample Pluss food vendors. Great that's it's at the opposite side of town for a change. Two sessions a day over three days, much more personal. Met some lovely people. Hope the organisers do the same or something similar next year🤞. The only thing I will suggest is you definitely need more seats

Every service I've attended here has been most moving, and well organised. Such a beautiful church too, with stunning stained glass windows. The window in the photo shows the specially commissioned D Day tribute. Lest we forget.

A perfect hall for community events. The kitchen is excellent and includes a cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and big water heater. Each cupboard is clearly labelled with the contents which makes it very easy to use. The toilets are always clean and includes an accessible loo.

This church looks amazing on the outside but less great on the inside. It has a good organ and a fine peel of bells. It also has a clock which is usually wrong! Take your photos from the outside on a sunny day and you won't go wrong.

Visited Jhula Yoga here for a wonderfully relaxing start to the day. My Mandala Yoga also takes place here. It's a very calm setting and the instructors don't do adjustments which is ideal if you're just wanting to try out yoga
