Great place to lock in academically. I feel like I get a lot of work done here compared to my bedroom. Temperature is just right and the lighting is sufficient. However, it is sometimes too busy so it's hard to find seats, and the quiet zone's not always quiet. There's a local activist on X who's been bringing light this issue and I concur fully. There is always some riff raff mucking about which I do not appreciate. When I enter a quiet zone I expect there to be minimal disturbances. Hopefully this is an issue the library team intends to resolve. My suggestion is that the library imposes a patrol unit around the quiet zones to enforce maximum compliance.

Love this place but... why do the closing time announcements for the other two libraries play in THIS library? It's incredibly distracting and anxiety inducing in a quiet space at night. I understand it for the other two, but for this one it's just unnecessarily irritating. The other ones close much earlier so it's not necessary either way.

The Library is quite nice and the ambience as well! There is enough seating capacity , books , toilet , water cooler , printer ,desktops to use ,sofa 's to sit and in winter you get a blanket as well ! There is a cafe in the ground floors always found it open during lunch hours .the library have transparent ceiling so you can study in a bit of sunlight and warmth . Overall Awesome ! ( I am a student at York Uni , my best place to study ) 😀
