Beehive Pre-School Playgroup

Our daughter has just finished beehive to go to school and attended for a year, she has left a totally different person! She was really shy and unsure of new people and has left so confident in all ways. It’s a lovely size nursery, the staff are all great and you can tell how much they all care about the children.

Both of our children have attended Beehive a couple of years apart, and it's been the best experience they could've had. Staff are well trained and experienced, and the place is easily accessible if living in the Fulford/fishergate area.

My son attended Beehive for 2 years and I have nothing but praise for this school. The teachers are all absolutely fantastic and diligent with their care. There are numerous facilities and activities that kept him happy and active. My son was always eager to attend school and it’s testament of how happy he was. I highly recommend Beehive Preschool.

Our youngest daughter was at Beehive for 4 months before going on to school. While we were only there for a short time we were very impressed with the pre-school. In short, it is affordable, well run and has fantastic staff. We would definitely recommend Beehive to others. Our two daughters have been in two nurseries before this, one a private nursery and one University run. Beehive has comfortably been the most organised, friendly and consistent of those. Many of the staff have been there for decades, which is rare in this industry where staff often come and go every 2-3 years, and shows how good an environment it is to work in. Liz was always on top of all paperwork and payments, including the tax free childcare payments that often go amiss with other providers. The key workers were all fantastic and our daughter felt completely at ease there. They organised some great social events, at just the right frequency. Our daughter was in 5 days a week, 09:00 - 16:00, and stayed the extra hour (16:00-17:00) three days a week, which meant we only payed for the hours we needed and the cost was much cheaper than alternative nurseries. We could have taken some pre-9am slots as well if we had needed to work early (which luckily we didn't).

My daughter loved her time at Beehive- the staff are great - Vicky her key worker was amazing she helped my daughter and brought her on so much! They always went above and beyond to accommodate extra hours/days if required for work commitments. I don't have a negative thing to say about Beehive I would definitely recommend.
