I picked Fairfax House because it seemed affordable, but the reality has been disappointing icl. There are frequent maintenance failures, heating or hot water often stops working for days, and clogged showers are a recurring problem. The walls are extremely thin and noise travels easily, rooms near sewer vents are unpleasant. Flatmates are often inconsiderate, and shared spaces are poorly respected esp the kitchens. Walking to the dining hall or main facilities takes longer than in other Vanbrugh houses. If you prefer peace, privacy, and basic living standards, this place might not be for u.
