York College

I had my nicest two years of academic education here at York College. I will never forget some of the teachers and the friends I made. The college environment was so nice and welcoming, great study space, social and group work spaces and comfortable seating. I love both big size rooms such as the psychology classrooms and small/ packed spaces in math rooms, they both group up the students’ attention and made studying more interesting. Never forget the lockers too, if how much snacks I used to keep in it. Thank you York college! Thank you the designers or York college and thanks to all the teachers and friends!

I have very mixed feelings about this college. I spent two years here completing my A Levels as an international student. I had wonderful teachers who were always there when I asked for help. However, the international team is a mess! In my first year, me and another international student gave in reports to the international team regarding our homestay hosts, who we were deeply unhappy with due to their unhygienic space, unhealthy food and their way of communicating with us. We were met with no help. And instead WE were blamed for the problems! Me and the other international student had multiple meetings with the international staff and we were always left more dissatisfied then the previous time. The international team have a demeaning attitude, they belittle you and make you feel like your problems don’t matter. If you are an international student thinking of going to York College, DON’T!

I was highly disappointed by the campus and teaching quality I was more impressed by the reveal that Burtold was the colossal titan in AOT and that the titans were originally people transformed into titans

This place doesn’t give a damn about its students. For weeks I had rehabilitation, police, social workers, etc coming in to meet me during class time while I was there. I was a 16 year old girl balancing adult life, ongoing trauma, and education all on her own. No teacher or staff ever offered assistance or asked to work around my schedule despite knowing my situation, nothing but automated messages complaining about attendance. One day I was called into the office to discuss said messages. My attendance was only a little below average and they said they were thinking of letting me go. I pleaded for a second chance and let them know that this is very important to me. I continued coming into school and trying my best, skipping appointments with people trying to help me for my chance at an education. One day I woke up to a simple message saying is be unable to attend anymore. Not only was her wording to me ignorant, but the whole situation. No in person discussion, no other possible options, just a massive middle finger. York college wouldn’t piss on me if I was on fire. Do better

the campus is absolutely shocking and the staff are terrible not to mention the students I sent my Timothy there and he told me that the entire campus was in a terrible state and the teachers acted so very harshly to them and that the students cared not for education I would recommend you not go there
