What can I say? This is, without a doubt, the best bar in York — bar none (pun fully intended!). Cat in the Wall sits just a stone’s throw from the town centre, offering a calm, welcoming oasis amid the hustle and bustle of nearby bars and shops. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, but it’s the staff who truly set this place apart. They’re genuinely attentive, friendly, and consistently go above and beyond to make every guest feel valued. If you’re in York and want a spot that delivers quality, comfort, and exceptional service, Cat in the Wall is an absolute must-visit.
