Beautiful Italian restaurant close to Clifford's Tower. We have visited it's sister restaurant La Vecchia Scuola many times as it's one of our favourites and L'Osteria Italiana certainly didn't disappoint. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely. We liked this restaurant in particular because it's smaller and quieter with a cosy atmosphere. We ordered from the set menu because there was a great choice, more than usual for a set menu, and in fact it was difficult to choose. It was also reasonably priced (£23.95 for 2 courses or £29.95 for 3 courses). We had a great evening and will definitely be back very soon!
Had the two course set meal. Great food, large servings (too large!), friendly staff, fast service, reasonably priced. Will come again if in York again one day.
So glad we chanced a visit here, noticed it was linked to La Vecchia in town and we have always had a great experience there. The hostess was so warm and friendly and catered to all our wishes. The food was spectacular see photos! It tasted fabulous and my daughter, who rarely shares her opinions, told me to order her spag bol next time we go, she loved it so much! Amazing non alcoholic choices woo which is still too rare these days. I don't understand why there was no one else in, Tuesday on school hols, but all the better for us! We will be back. We had the chicken thighs and lamb kebab.
Had dinner with my family here. Is was AMAZING. Good price point. They halve set meals you can order and then also a meal plan, where you can order 2/3 course meal. Definitely blown away by the food! Super great! Definitely recommend!
Delicious food, very good portion sizes and the staff is really kind! Highly recommended it!! The Calzone was the best we’ve ever had!
