The Biltmore Bar & Grill

My spouse and I came here this evening for our anniversary; we were the only two in there, which maybe should have been a clue despite the beautiful room. The hostess/server was pleasant enough, but our starters took approximately 45 minutes to arrive, then our main was another 45-60 minutes. Considering it was just wings, garlic bread, buffalo chicken sandwich, a burger, and chips, there is absolutely NO way it should have taken that long - especially being the only two in there. All-in-all, we were there for at least two hours. Good thing we had no where else to be. The meal was hot and meat cooked well, which is good, but also makes me wonder why it took so long. Our chips had zero seasoning and my chicken had barely any buffalo sauce. I typically would have questioned the time it took, but my husband gets uncomfortable in those situations, so I left it. There was no explanation as to why; nothing to compensate our time; no apology; we felt like a burden to be honest. Unfortunately, we will not be back. Which is too bad, because this place is beautiful and looked like it could be so successful. It appears the time concerns has been a consistent theme with reviews, so hopefully that gets rectified soon.

We held our annual Winter Formal here, and the experience was exceptional. Sally was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every request we had. The bar staff were all extremely polite, welcoming, and helpful throughout the evening. The canapés and platters were excellent, and the whole event ran smoothly from start to finish. We honestly couldn’t speak more highly of this venue. It may well become our go-to spot for future Winter Formals.

We hosted our annual trade show pre-dinner at the Biltmore Bar & Grill in York on Tuesday, 14th October, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and the staff were attentive and always ready to help. Bar service was quick, efficient, and delivered with a friendly smile. The food was outstanding, a wide variety of delicious options, all of excellent quality. Given the size of our group, we opted for a buffet-style setup, which worked perfectly. The staff ensured the buffet was consistently replenished and that everyone was well looked after. I would highly recommend the Biltmore Bar & Grill for future events. Food very good. Took a while but I would rather wait that have it dished up too quickly! Hot tasty and good portions. Charged us twice for drinks by mistake but rectified immediately.

I don't tend to write reviews but we had the most disastrous bottomless brunch. We had to wait 50 minutes to be shown to our table and then wait a further 25 minutes for our first drink ( off the main menu as compensation). Dan and Lucy were great and very apologetic and we received great service from them. The food was great however we had to wait approx 2 hours into our 90 minute sitting to receive it.....! The cocktails pretty awful and very watered down. Would not recommend at all! Such a disappointing experience.
