Wildes Wine Bar York
About
Description
Nestled down Grape Lane, there is a little 'Wine Bar and Bistro' which exubes Parisian atmosphere, this family run establishment has a definate continental feel which is reinforced by the attention to detail not only in the foods prepared here but also in the decor of the building. This warm and welcoming little Bistro is called Wildes named after Oscar Wilde (this is exactly the type of place you would expect to find him after being exciled to France).
Wildes appeals to a wide range of customers from passing tourists to regular locals looking for somewhere to meet with friends for lunch, reuinion crowds and students looking to explore the older historical areas of York.
The interior is smart without being pretentious and the atmosphere is always lively, there is ample seating inside meaning that waiting to get a table is always at a minimum or if you prefer alfresco dining there are 3 beautiful wrought iron tables outside to the front of the building complete with matching chairs. Wildes Wine Bar and Bistro is probably best known nowadays for being an eatery rather than a watering hole so if you fancy taking a stroll and getting a nice bite to eat come and visit us. Or; if you just fancy coming down for a drink there are three draught beers on offer, as well a generously stocked fridge behind the bar full of the usual bottled lagers and such, so if you fancy escaping to the continent without getting on a plane, come and see us at Wildes Wine Bar and Bistro for a little slice of Europe in the heart of Yorkshire.
