The best friday (or any day) sandwich Takeaway in York, maybe the country. Good quality food, quick service, fair prices. I'm sitting here having demolished a Babies Leg. Not what you might think. 2 wraps packed the gills with breakfast food ! Immense!
I deliver to many sandwich shops through the day, today i tried this place and its Easily the best sandwich ive had, not just York but anywhere. I see why its always so busy now. Absolutely beautifull sandwich and great price in comparison to most places, lovely staff and their french bread/baguette is just gorgeous. If you havnt tried this place yet, i can assure you wont be let down. ✌️
Needed to grab some lunch in-between jobs. I used to go here many years ago when I worked in York and as I was passing I thought, perfect! I think the owner might have changed since then, but the food was just as nice. It looks like a little greasy spoon type of takeaway, but that's all part of the charm. I was served by a mature lady. She seemed very nice and offered me options to add to my sandwich, which I hadn't seen on the menu board. I just chose a regular pulled beef in ale gravy sandwich. When I opened it, I thought I should have gone for the bigger one, but in actual fact, it was just right. I'd have been pogged if I'd had more. I also grabbed a cold drink from the fridge, too to keep hydrated. They had a good selection of drinks choices. They also had sides such as crisps, but I didn't get those. Yeah, it's definitely worth going back if I'm ever in the area. The large butties are as big as your head, so it's worth saving up your hunger for a breakfast one! Good prices and seems quite popular as there was a steady queue from the locals, I'm guessing, as they were on foot. There's no official parking area, just on the street parking. When the traffic is busy, it's a little difficult to pull out, but I found it easy to pull up without issue.
Was in York was feeling hungry and spotted this small sandwich shop. Ordered a large bacon and egg sandwich. What a perfect sandwich for a Tuesday morning..nom nom. Would have taken a photo but unfortunately I ate it. Like to give a big shout out to kyle who served me and also made my sandwich. Also Lee and his father who was also working in the shop. Highly recommend, if I'm ever in the area again will definitely be calling again.
Just had the most amazing hot beef wrap. Fantastic service, he even gave me a pot of gravy to dip it in and a sausage for my dog. Fantastic!
