Oasis Café

Absolute cracker of a cafe. We ordered the crushed avocado's & poached eggs plus the bacon and Brie with chilli jam and a side of chips .... one word sums up the food and that is "delicious" , both were generous portions and well presented. The two waitresses were nice and made us feel very welcome. No hesitation in recommending the Oasis cafe , enjoy.

What a gem of a find this was. Spending time in the city and finding plenty of food chain eateries, turned a corner heading towards the river and bam, Oasis cafe. Very warm welcome with very friendly staff, a great menu with something for all tastes. Hubby had the falafel and halloumi sandwich, and I opted for the bacon and Brie sandwich. Service was excellent and the food arrived quickly as did our alcoholic drinks (very welcome on the hottest day of the year) Both came with side salads and dressing. Both were delicious and very fresh. This is also a dog friendly cafe so gets a great thumbs up even though the woofs were not with us this time. Can absolutely recommend this gem. Top marks.

It’s great to see new businesses starting their journey and I can see that a lot of thought and attention to detail has gone into creating the Oasis cafe. The decor is lovely! Very clean lines, neutral colours, good coordination of materials etc The cafe is long and thin with the counter at the back which is where you order. There’s a great selection of food and drink on the menu and staff are excellent: warm and friendly, very clued up re food allergies etc Service was very quick. I loved the crockery and teapot. The toilets are to the rear of the cafe and there are baby changing facilities; again, everything is beautifully presented and very clean. Highly recommended!

Dog friendly, cold sauce on tap 🤷. Disappointed - looked nice, but not nice. Popped in with the Mrs for a Sunday morning breakfast. Seated very quickly and orders taken by friendly staff, however we ended up waiting over 30mins for our food to arrive. When you consider this was for some pretty straightforward avocado on toast, it’s just not acceptable. When our food arrived we had already finished our drinks but were not approached to reorder so ended up eating without. The food was cold on arrival and poorly cooked (poached eggs overdone, not runny) with missing elements (no chilli on smashed avocado, only one quarter of a tomato but listed as grilled tomatoes). We were not asked how our food was by staff either. £30+ for two drinks and two breakfasts seemed steep for the quality we received. Some positives though - nice looking cafe and air con in the hot weather was appreciated. Staff were very attentive for the dogs on the next table (water bowls provided) and toilets (2 x cubicles) were clean. Looking at other reviews post-visit, it seems like long waits and cold food are not uncommon here. It’s a real shame as staff were welcoming and friendly, but we won’t be returning.

Nice little cafe with cool atmosphere in quite a good location. I’d the food is a bit overpriced and not super big portions. But staff and vibe is lovely
