Best sandwiches in York! Me and my partner came for a weekend visit and seen these guys recommended all over TikTok. Definitely lived up to the hype. Extremely reasonable pricing for portion/quality of food and staff were so lovely. Will deffo be back!

Absolutely top tier sandwich. Tasty, fresh and a really, really big packed out portion. There will be people who look at the prices and moan... This place isn't for you. Prices reflect the ingredients used, it's that simple. They stayed open just to serve us some sandwiches as they were closing down, unbelievable service! Missing out if you're nearby and don't grab one.

I went for the Morty, which sounded amazing. I was disappointed they did not have any stracciatella left and they offered mozzarella instead, which was fine. I found the pistachio cream was a bit bland, but I liked the crushed pistachios in the sandwich as it added a nice flavor. The sandwich stayed together and didn't fall apart which was good. I appreciate that the bread is baked in store daily. I might give the Morty another proper go next time in its original version with all the intended ingredients and I would also give the other schiacciata sandwiches a try. The service was slow, and the overall energy in the shop felt a bit dull at the time, although when I walked in I did get greeted by the lass behind the counter, which is always nice when visiting a place. Still, I would recommend it because everything seems fresh and the cheeses and meats are sliced right in front of you.

sandwiches were pretty good - we got the caprese. the balsamic and the pesto were very nice but without them it would’ve been slightly flavourless. it was quite quiet when we went and the staff were incredibly awkward and honestly slightly rude.
