Great find in York. We ordered a large BBQ set and a kimchi pancake. The kimchi pancake had green pepper, which is something I had not seen before in other Korean restaurants. I didn’t enjoy it so much as other pancakes I had before because of how crispy it was, and the flavour of the pepper over empowering the pancake but that is more of a personal preference. The BBQ on the other hand was outstanding. This is one of the best Korean bbqs I have had in the UK. The meat was fresh and properly seasoned and it had lots of flavour. There was a nice selection of meats and you can change the paper on the grill after each use. The girl who served us was very attentive and kind. The venue is small and cozy and has a relaxed atmosphere. I recommend coming here if you like Korean food.
Comfy space to have a homemade meal. My bibimbap was amazing and my husband had the chicken curry which he enjoyed very much. It was a cold day so we had lemon tea to enjoy with our meal and it was delicious 😋 (we had 2 each). The dessert was also new to me (with beans). The staff was polite, friendly and helpful all the time. We'll be back again. A big thanks to the staff for this amazing experience! 🫰🏻
Do not come to this restaurant if you are looking for an authentic Korean dining experience. The army stew felt like a random mix of leftover ingredients rather than a thoughtfully prepared dish. Both the tofu and rice cakes were completely tasteless. The kimchi pancake was especially disappointing, as it lacked even the slightest hint of kimchi flavor. To make matters worse, it was served with vinegar as a dipping sauce, which is not something you would find at any authentic Korean restaurant. My desire to have a good Korean meal for dinner was definitely not satisfied and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Love this place! The food is delicious and authentic. The staff are really attentive too. The BBQ is great if there’s a few of you, but would also recommend the dumplings and beef bibimbap!
5/5 ★ Amazing Korean BBQ in York! This place is a hidden gem! The meat is super fresh and the side dishes too. Staff were so friendly—helped us grill perfectly. The vibe is cozy but modern, and no smoky smell after (big plus!). Totally worth it! 🥩🔥
