The food was amazing, served in tapas style, which allowed us to try more dishes. We ordered four dishes, which turned out to be the perfect amount for us. The cocktail was very well made and I had one of the best rosé wines I’ve ever had. The service from both waitresses was outstanding. It’s just a shame we discovered this place on the last day of our trip, but if we ever return to York, we’ll definitely eat here again without a doubt.
Fantastic value for money! Really enjoyed the food we had, the cocktails are hand made which is great. Will definitely visit again next time we're in York.
Visited Friday 28th Nov 2026. Loved it. We ate downstairs,very intimate, food was superb,hot and beautifully presented. Staff and im presuming the owner were hands on and so polite... Myself,my wife and daughter enjoyed it so much and will deffo return on our next visit to York. Highly recommended. 😋😋👏👏👏
Bijou premises serving exquisite food. All the platters were beautifully presented and the food was delicious. Very attractive decor. Good, attentive service without being rushed or hassled. Very impressed with this place, which folk may walk past as it has a small street frontage. If they walk past, it's their loss as it is a very worthy restaurant proffering super tasty dining. Highly recommended.
We came for dinner last night. The food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were perfect. Everything was cooked to perfection (I just wish I had brought a box to bring the leftovers back with me!) The restaurant is small, resulting in a perfect intimate setting. Music was playing but not too loud that you could hear your conversation. The waitress was so lovely and friendly. The venue was spotless and modern. Would definitely recommend.
