Took my family here for New Year’s Eve. The food was absolutely fantastic. We have Indian a lot but this is the first South Indian we have tried and will definitely be coming back. The whole family was very impressed. Sensational food.

We recently ordered from Coconut Lagoon Restaurant, and the experience was fantastic! The tapioca and fish curry were absolutely excellent—rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We also tried the onion pakoda as a starter, and it was amazing. Crispy, delicious, and paired perfectly with the chutney—truly mouth-watering! Everything was delivered on time, and the portion sizes were great. Our guests were very happy with the food as well. Overall, a wonderful meal with authentic flavors. Highly recommended

Disappointed. Quantity of food delivered for the price we pay seems unacceptable. Only egg fried rice was decent portion. Just 5 piece of chicken 65 for >5pounds. Coli 65 was soaking in oil. Did not seem like it drained. Fish curry was only dish which tasted fine. Despite us asking for chutney along with chicken 65, it was not provided. As per menu, vada has to come with sambar which was not sent. Never seen Palak paneer this watery and it tasted just like plain water with chapathi. No spice salt or any taste to it.

Our second visit here, after enjoying our first visit so much! Shrija looked after us very well, very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious, so well cooked and presented, and the Cobra slipped down a treat! If you find yourself in York looking for something special then you should definitely try Coconut Lagoon.

We were very disappointed with the food, especially since this was meant to be our New Year’s Eve dinner at home. The portions were small, the food arrived cold, and the taste was underwhelming. The onion uttapam was particularly disappointing—it appeared slightly burnt and lacked flavor. The beef fry didn’t taste right, and the Chicken 65, priced at £6, contained just five small pieces of diced chicken—definitely not worth the cost. We’ve never visited the restaurant in person, but based on this experience, we’ll be avoiding it in the future.
