Just happened to stumble on this place as we were caught in a downpour and wanted to dry off and have drink. Lovely welcoming from the owner and all the staff as soon as we went in. Decided on a bite to eat and went for the small plates options (5 for £30, but ordered 10 ha)......and everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the chilli beef tacos, chicken goujons, and the prawns with mango dip........but hard to decide which were the best from all 10 we had! The girls had cocktails too to finish off a lovely afternoon/evening. Give this place a try guys, you won't be disappointed.
Lovely to see Gibsons reopened and not disappointed at all. Friendly welcome and great food! Ordered the cheeseburger and the steak. Steak was cooked exactly as requested and the cheeseburger nice and meaty. Recommend a visit
Didn't have food so can't comment but came on Saturday night. Bar staff were really good, gave off a chilled vibe. Drinks were great, place is well kept. 🤞it stays this way.
We stopped by on a Monday evening for some food - we got fish & chips, and a cod goujon spianata which was really delicious. Service was great.
firstly the food in here is amazing we had zero issues with anything, it didn't take ages to arrive either which was great! ALL the staff were lovely and allowed us to use a reserved table when the others were taken, after a long day day in york it was certainly appreciated. The prices are very reasonable. They also have a good vegetarian and vegan menu. You do have to go upstairs to enter so please bare this is mind if you have difficulties. My only qualm was the eating and drinking areas aren't separated so there was a group of people stood in touching distance of us, almost leaning on my sister was abit over whelming
