A local family run business, my friends and I love hearing the story from the shop owners, Stella and her husband. the drink are imported from Japanese!!!!Omg!! every dish is thoughtfully prepared! the fried chicken and pork … so yummy! It reminded me of a small neighbourhood shop in Japan. Highly recommend.
Such a hidden gem!! The meal felt like a warm hug on a cold day. The food was so yummy with a great portion size. We ordered the egg and chicken rice bowl (came with miso soup and salad) and the Katsu ramen. The meat was so impressively soft which is so hard to find as crispy katsu is normally quite dry in other places. Will definitely come back again and the customer service was great! Tip: It’s cash only!
Really good. Enjoy the food. Was freshly cooked and took me right back to Japan. Dealt with my wife’s peanut allergy without issue
The Katsu don was delicious. The pork chop was thick & tender. The sauce was very well balanced. The ingredients used were really high quality. I have been to a few different Japanese restaurants in London but this little place up in York is by far the best. Stella (one of the owners) is so friendly and extremely passionate about the food they serve. I highly recommend this place. If I ever have the opportunity to travel to York, I would love to visit again.
Loved the food, was very flavorful. Good portion size. Lots of vegetarian options as well. Clean comfortable ambience. But plz keep in mind they only except cash. Earlier we were told we could do an online payment but after the meal they insisted on CASH ONLY.
