Lovely Beefeater, friendly staff. Annie was amazing, polite, attentive. Sunday lunch great, especially cauliflower cheese and the banoffee cheesecake. A nice stop off on a work trip.
Great place. I was down staying at hotel next door for work. I had breakfast and dinner there 4 nights and it was great. Lovely staff. Quick service and food was always great and fresh tasting! Id recommend the chicken wings to start. They were great!
Me and my family have travelled from Preston to have a few nights here in York for the new year, we have dined here 3 times now and each experience has been lovely, the staff extremely helpful and very friendly, but a special shout out to Christine who has helped me and my son without ask, nothing has been too much. My son has special needs and she has adapted the surroundings to him and to his needs also, even right down to making his drinks the correct temp so he can drink them without fuss. Nothing has been too much, and she really does just carry a very special welcoming aura about herself :) Happy new year everyone we will be back ♥️
We Stayed 3 nights at the premier Inn, where the restaurant is attached. During our stay we opted for the Breakfast/Dinner promotion. The buffet breakfast has a large range of cereals and of course an English breakfast and sets you up for the day. The staff are very conscientious of any food allergies you may have, which is very reassuring. Dinner service was very efficient (considering when we stayed was a busy time of year, you don't wait long for your food!) which Is excellent. Staff are friendly, hard working and nothing is too much bother, would we stay again? absolutely! we will be back in the warmer months next year, highly recommended.
We visited just after new year. The food was just ok - I had salmon and sadly it was very dry and overcooked. Others in my party said theirs was nice so maybe I was unlucky. I didn’t really think the food was worth the price if I am honest (most mains were around £18), however, the service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful (I wish I had got her name). We ordered drinks at the bar before we sat down and the bar staff were also very friendly so I have given 5 stars for service.
