I am usually sceptical when I go to Indian restaurants because of either too much spices in a curry or it being too sweet for me. But this restaurant totally blew my mind. The friendly staff helped to find the right curry. I had plain naan and chicken curry and it was just perfect for me. I enjoyed every bite, every drop of sauce. Paratha and onion bhaji were tiny bit bland for me but may be this is their style. But I enjoyed my dinner. Thank you chef. Truly amazing.
Not that good to be honest. The wait time for a takeaway collection was longer than expected, we ordered on foodhub expecting, as advertised, a 15 minute wait (Tuesday night). It was more like 30 minutes. The food was average at best, lacking flavour. And the sauce thin. There was a boiled egg in one dish but this couldn't be eaten, the hard yolk contained to much black, looking and smelling like it was off. We didn't finish our meals.
Awful service. Ordered via JustEat and yet there was no active delivery tracking which should have been a red flag. 2.5 hour wait on food (no wonder it arrived cold) after calling twice - being told that the driver was "on his way" or "almost there" both times. They even tried pretending the order was delivered on the app much earlier than when it arrived so the delay wouldn't look as bad. Sneaky! Food was fine when it did finally get here but we had only ordered a couple of korma dishes and some rice. Hard to mess up. Mostly upset about all the lies, very poor service!
Went alone at 10pm and was the only customer - polite and friendly service. The food was sensational. Was recommended the special chicken curry, and also ordered the mixed pilau rice, papadum and aloo gobi. The first three were incredible. Aloo Gobi was okay. They offer 10% discounts for students as well. Incredible - will be back next time I’m in York
What can I say but absolutely amazing service and food! Been 3 times now and always top notch! No issues what so ever! Food is full of flavour and plenty of chicken and lamb in meals! Staff welcoming and can’t say enough about this restaurant we have recommended to all our friends and family! We Will be back!! Thank you ��️
