We had a takeaway from here, we are both vegan. Whilst my partner enjoyed his food, I really didn't enjoy mine. I ordered a vegetable biryani. Really disappointed, it didn't have a sauce with it either.
Ordered a takeaway tonight and I felt I must add this review. The food was absolutely delicious, still hot when it arrived and tasted every bit as good as it has done in the past when we have visited the takeaway. Great value for money and the staff, including the delivery man, were really friendly. Would recommend it to anyone.
Order quite alot from alishan, the food is always lovely but their is always loads of excess water floating on my plate and today a hair in my rice. Very disappointed.

I've been coming here for a number of years now, so can comfortably say this is the best Indian takeaway in York. Of note, they will tweak a dish to your personal preference - so for me I have the Bengal Taste madras hot - which is perfect. I always pick up on a Mon night & the staff are friendly too.
