We ordered in for home delivery. It arrived very quickly, especially considering it was a Friday evening. The driver was very considerate and polite. The food was hot. 5/5 I had the new cubed lamb kebab. It was seasoned well and was enjoyable. The fresh salad is very basic - lettuce, onion, tomato. I would have welcomed a nicer salad. For example, some pickled red cabage, some pickled chilies. I had yoghurt garlic sauce. This is probably the best lamb I've had in a kebab in York! 4/5 My husband had doner kebab, with salad and chilli sauce. He enjoyed his food. He feels similarly about the salad. 3.5/5 We also ordered a ham and mushroom stuffed crust pizza which we didn't like it at all! The cheese didn't taste or feel like real cheese. I didn't like the texture and neither did my husband. We wouldn't order it again. 1/5 I'll be back for the cubed lamb kebab.
Been ordering from here for years. Always super quick delivery. I especially like that their chicken kebabs come with separate pitta bread, sauces and a container of fresh salad, ready to be self assembled. Excellent chicken shawarma. Really recommend.
Been going here for almost 20 years what on earth is going on lately. You keep your fingers crossed that someone will answer the phone for starters and hope it doesnt arrive after 90 mins. You get a very good portion of lamb shish but its that tough its impossible to chew. So disappointing when you have looked forward to it all day for your dinner.
The quality here used to be epic, now its just another poor excuse for a takeaway. I get it, its hard to keep it up, but the pizzas are sub-par, made with no passion/joy/love, and my fave chicken kebab house is now a tame tiger, sat dying in a cage, wondering what went wrong. I'm a decade customer, last several orders have been......... well, OK (at best). Also, we can tell you use old frozen pizza bases and old (used to be frozen) chips. We're not stupid. Up your GAME OR GO TO HELL.
Great value and service and the cost and taste of their grilled chicken kebab and chicken shawarma cannot be beaten in my opinion. I drive across York every week for my order and never been let down in terms of collection time, quality of service from the owner and staff and the great food.
