It was the only decent looking chicken shop I could find in my drive throughout York. I ordered a peri peri chicken wrap meal cost me just below £8.. The wrap was very spicy and couldn't tell if it was the sauce or the coating on the chicken. It was nice but got to a point were it was too overpowering. Chips were cooked nicely, chunky and fluffy. The drinks are a big let down as they have THE MOST BASIC selection of drinks you can get and wernt happy with the options at all... Nice shop design, though felt rude not to eat in. 100% will revist as the chicken was seasoned up good but couldn't taste it with the overpowering sauces from the wrap.. Good to see this quality of food and will be handy next time I am in York but PLEASE sort out your drink selction... coke and sprite don't settle it mate.

2 nd time have been, first time had no issue 2nd time not so pleasant. Have to say this place needs to look at its accessibility for people with hidden disabilities. Staff may need some training on people with hearing impairments and how an accent can affect the ability to hear or not looking at a person directly when speaking to enable them to lip read or just taking the time to talk more slow when been made aware of an hearing condition. Not raising their voice and practically shouting, I ain’t someone’s old nan who requires that, still couldn’t understand a word, my friend had to help. Orders can go wrong and you would expect a business to sort but these lot will argue with you when something is their fault. I received the wrong item for my meal and the store they blamed it on me because their description was wrong. In the end got it sorted food was alright. Nothing to write home about had better places in Leeds and Bradford. Overall experience just ruined it for me. Reading the reviews they put on people’s feedback, there is defending urself but the rudeness that comes with isn’t required. After this experience I won’t be coming back and I think I’ll stick to other business in the area for better customer service, least might get spoken to like a person.

We attended the opening day and bought 4 different meals to try out with the family. The food was excellent, everyone enjoyed their meals very much. We did not sit inside but the inside seating area is very modern and relaxed, and we would consider eating in if we didn't have our young child with us. Fantastic addition to the already great food scene in York. We will be visiting again.

I got a peri peri burger, hot honey wings and lemon herb rub tender. Disappointed with my burger, the peri sauce was overpowering and sour, it honestly felt like the plain burger would’ve tasted better. The lemon and herb tender was alright nothing special about it however it was difficult to dip it into the sauce I ordered as the chicken batter would fall off way too easily along with the chicken basically just crumbling, I question whether it was frozen or not. The hot and honey rubs were the only thing I enjoyed and that’s mostly because the other two items I ordered didn’t satisfy me.
