spot may not look the best outside but the food speaks for itself. fragrantly spiced rice with tender, flavorful and juicy chicken. Recommended for a quick meal.
I work in York and decided to try this place as I was really hungry and I can honestly say it’s nothing special and it’s just average. £11 for a supreme peri peri burger meal with a chicken thigh in the bun?? In Leeds, I get a breast fillet for a lot less than £11 and for £11, I expect something special to make me want to go back again. York is a stunning city visit but this place is a let down.

I grabbed a chicken and rice box from Ricos in York and honestly it was spot on. The chicken was juicy, the rice was cooked just right, and the garlic mayo made all the flavours pop together. What I really liked as well is they actually give you proper decent utensils – a sturdy plastic fork and spoon, not the flimsy ones that snap. It just made the whole meal easier and more enjoyable. Proper tasty, I’ll definitely be going back.
Simply: Awesome food. The chicken was the best grilled Chicken I and my son have had in a long time. Mild hotness spice - it the spot. 100 %. Will definitely be making another visit. 👍
