I ordered a cheese pizza, chips (fries), and a meat calzone. It was all good. The pizza is larger and 2 pound less than the ones served at Travelodge. So, if you are staying at Travelodge and want cheese pizza, I recommend making the 2 minute walk and going here. The calzone was quite big and more food than I anticipated. The bread on the pizza and calzone was so soft and delicious. The chips were good, too. This take out place is very conveniently located to the touristy areas of York. Over all, if you want quick take out this is a great place to go. P. S. The photos were taken after we ate, so that is half an 8in calzone and just a bit of pizza left.

Love this place and the amazing chicken and fries they make! An absolute bang for your buck especially if you are a student. The food definitely surpasses other stores at times and the staff are very friendly and are sure to deliver very quickly. Will be sure to keep coming back over and over again and you should too

The chicken here is absolutely amazing and affordable and the prices here are so extremely generous for the portions, I highly recommend to anyone who wants big portions of delicious fried chicken and chips. The delivery is also always quick and the food is hot, I have ordered from here a few times and have never been let down so thank you SFC team! :)

I recently visited SFC in York and had a mixed experience. We decided to order a few different items to get a good sense of their menu, including chicken shawarma sandwiches, pieces of fried chicken, and chicken fillet burgers. Starting with the positives, the food was decent. The chicken shawarma sandwiches were flavorful but lacked that extra touch that would make them truly memorable. Similarly, the fried chicken and chicken fillet burgers were tasty, but they didn't stand out as exceptional. Unfortunately, the overall quality of the food was just good, not great. Some of the items seemed like they hadn’t been seasoned enough, resulting in a somewhat bland taste. Additionally, I noticed that the food was a bit on the oily side, which detracted from the overall enjoyment. As for the shop itself, it's clear that this is more of a takeaway spot than a sit-down restaurant. There were no tables available to eat in, only chairs, which weren't particularly comfortable. This lack of proper seating made the dine-in experience less enjoyable, especially for those who might want to stay and eat rather than take their food to go. In terms of pricing, I found it to be a bit of a mixed bag. While the prices might be considered reasonable for the York city area, they felt slightly overpriced when compared to similar establishments in other cities. For what we received, I expected a little more in terms of both quality and quantity. Overall, SFC in York is a decent option if you're in the area and craving some quick chicken dishes, but there are definitely areas for improvement. Better seasoning, less oil, and more comfortable seating could elevate this place to a higher standard. Until then, it remains an average spot that might satisfy a craving but won't leave a lasting impression.

Literally couldn’t have been any clearer about wanting a PLAIN chicken sharawma and a donner on a nann bread (which is on the menu ) all I got was a normal kebab with both sauces and salad I was sat in the shop too and they never brought anything up no qualms then I paid for a bottle of pop separate and they started being funny when I asked for it……I think they take libs on late night customers staying at the premier inn as I was and when I went to call back the place was shut hence why I’m in my room now after paying £11.50 for the kebab which was 8.50 on the menu probably then they added that the extra on which l wouldnt have been bothered about until all this Basically the place is Shan I’m now sat my room after paying £15 for a kebab that. I can’t eat and after battling for a overpriced bottle of pop which I paid for Might aswell get a kebab closer in town and avoid this if you’re reading this, I’m gutted now joke yous are
