The pork wraps were a great experience at £9 per wrap. The service was good; the front staff were nice and welcoming, and the kitchen ran the orders quite quickly. However, I simply cannot give a star to the Pot of Cracking. We ordered it because it seemed so popular with other customers ahead of us, but it was far too salty and actually burnt, and we ended up having to waste it.
Have wanted to try this for a while, the roast dinner in a Yorkshire pudding wrap. Good choice of meats; beef, pork, turkey & ham, along with a veggie option. The aroma leading up to the shop really smelt homely and inviting... Give it a go, good value and tasty.. pork scratchings were excellent btw.
Went there for the first time while visiting York. We got The Yorky Pud Veggie Wraps which were quite good. Definitely a very popular and busy place on the weekends. Wouldn’t recommend for dine-in, hardly any space.
Staff seemed a little “off”, nothing bad just a bit short on pleasantries. Serving quantities felt a bit shy too, like it’s been overcalculated to be precisely profitable rather than an indulgent experience. Glad we tried, won’t be rushing to repeat.
My husband and I visited today. I got a beef sandwich, which had large chunks of the nicest beef I've ever eaten. It was juicy and melted in your mouth. It also had stuffing, a large toast potato, and gravy. It was absolutely delicious. My husband got a Yorkshire pudding wrap with pork, roasted vegetables, roasted potato, stuffing, and gravy and he said that too was delicious. The ladies at the desk where really friendly. There is also a small seating area upstairs which was clean and tidy.
