A very popular spot for tourists to York as it has the most amazing views of York Minster via a wall of windows! It was quite busy when I visited but staff were lovely, very attentive and welcoming and service was super quick. The menu looked good but I only wanted a coffee and cake which were very good. Be aware that gluten free cakes are not labelled or kept apart from others. Toilets are upstairs. I really enjoyed my coffee with oat milk and piece of tiffin. Will visit again. NB Keep your eyes peeled for the stuffed badger and his friend; you’ll need to speak to the owner to learn the badger’s name and his back story 😹

The Parkin is with a deep ginger flavour and a comforting warmth from the spices not overly sweet. The flat white and cappuccino , however, were just so so , drinkable but lacking the depth

Great stopping point for refreshment in York. Directly opposite the Minster, so a great view to the outside and a warm atmosphere inside. Sraff were really friendly. As tourists we opted for local flavours of Yorkshire Tea and Parkin, which was ideal. The more substantial lunches going to other tables looked good too.

This place is perfectly located, right in front of the Minster, offering a lovely view. I got a really warm welcome from the waitress, and everyone there was super friendly. I had a mocha, and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve ever had—smooth and rich, just perfect. Between the friendly service and the great location, I’d definitely recommend stopping by.

Great café, right in front of York Minster, incredible view of the Cathedral. The scones were superb, still warm. The preserve was very good. Also had some parkin, which is basically a local ginger/spiced cake. The members of staff were very nice. The price was fair - great quality/price ratio. Recommended.
