Right then, have you ever seen a comedian’s clip online and thought, “This person is properly funny”? Chances are, you might have stumbled across Fin Taylor. He’s that comedian who has become a massive name on the internet, and now he’s swapping the screen for the stage. In a big way. He’s just announced his largest-ever tour for 2026, hitting stages all across the UK and Ireland. It's called ‘The Pre-Emptive Comeback Special’, and it’s being put on by the entertainment giants at Live Nation. This is your guide to everything you need to know about seeing his hilarious stand-up live.

Who is fin taylor anyway?

So, what’s the deal with Fin Taylor? Imagine a comedian who isn’t afraid to talk about, well, anything. His style is all about sharp, direct, and completely fearless social commentary. What does that mean? Basically, he looks at the world, at our culture, and at politics, and he finds the funny side of it all. It’s not just silly jokes; it’s comedy that makes you think, but mostly, it makes you laugh. A lot. He’s built his name by performing live in comedy clubs up and down the country and has had a bunch of sold-out shows at huge festivals, like the famous Edinburgh Festival Fringe. His act is a mix of clever observations about how people behave and straight-talking opinions on modern life. The press release puts it perfectly: "Men want to be him. Women want their boyfriends to stop showing them his videos." That pretty much sums up his wide-reaching appeal.

More than just stand-up comedy

And he’s not just a master of the live stage. Fin has been super busy creating some brilliant stuff away from the theatre spotlight. He's the host of the hit interview series and podcast, Fin vs The Internet, where he chats with other comedians and people who’ve gone viral. They get into the good, the bad, and the downright bizarre side of online culture. It’s a fascinating listen if you’re curious about how the internet shapes our world. But that's not all. He also co-hosts another chart-topping podcast, Fin vs History, with Horatio Gould. It’s described as a fast and irreverent look at key moments in human history, which basically means it's a history lesson that won’t put you to sleep. On top of all that, his TV credits are seriously impressive. You’ve probably seen him on:

  • Live at the Apollo (BBC Two)
  • Have I Got News For You (BBC One)
  • The Last Leg (Channel 4)
  • Roast Battle (Comedy Central)
  • The Mash Report (BBC)
  • 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4)
  • Have a Word
  • Parenting Hell

He's also performed at major comedy festivals across the UK, Europe, Australia, and North America, proving his brand of comedy is a global hit.

What’s this ‘pre-emptive comeback special’ all about?

The name of the tour itself is a bit of a laugh, isn't it? ‘The Pre-Emptive Comeback Special’. A comeback... before he's even gone anywhere? That's the whole point. The tickets for this massive 2026 tour are going on sale ages in advance. It’s a bold move. It’s like he’s walking a tightrope. As the announcement playfully asks, "will he fall off the tightrope before the curtain comes up?" It’s a cheeky nod to the unpredictable nature of comedy and fame. This tour is Fin stepping back into his natural habitat: on stage, in a theatre, with a live audience right in front of him. After all the success of his podcast projects, he's returning to his roots in stand-up comedy. This will be his biggest tour to date, promising a full evening of razor-sharp opinions and brutally honest humour across England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.
