The special guest for the afternoon is the Right Honourable Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Martin Rowley BEM. It’s not every day you get a chance to meet and chat with the Lord Mayor in such a relaxed setting. The 'BEM' after his name stands for British Empire Medal, which is an honour given to people for outstanding community work. So, this is a great chance to talk to someone who really cares about the local community.
