This is a fantastic entry level opportunity for recent finance and accounting university graduates, or AAT studiers looking to gain more exposure in real world finance. My client is a notable employer in the North Yorkshire area, well known for providing a top quality working environment and training.</p> <p><strong>Description</strong></p> <ul> <li>Process invoices and ensure timely payments to suppliers.</li><li>Maintain accurate financial records and update systems accordingly.</li><li>Assist with bank reconciliations and cashflow monitoring.</li><li>Support the preparation of monthly financial reports.</li><li>Respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.</li><li>Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to meet departmental deadlines and objectives.</li></ul> <p><strong>Profile</strong></p> <p>A successful Finance Assistant should have:</p> <ul> <li>Finance and Accounting graduates are preferred</li><li>AAT Studiers are preferred but not essential</li><li>Keen appetite for learning and development</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.</li><li>Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.</li><li>A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for liaising with stakeholders.</li></ul> <p><strong>Job Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Salary - £25,000</li><li>12m Fixed Term Contract</li><li>Immediate start available</li><li>Hybrid working (3 days in office and 2 days at home after training period)</li><li>Supportive and collaborative work environment in York.</li><li>Exposure to a variety of finance-related tasks and responsibilities.</li><li>Strong potential to go permanent</li></ul> <p>If you are a finance and accounting graduate looking to kickstart their career in finance, please apply today!</p>
